My sister and I together with our kids enjoyed an afternoon at the movies. We watched Shrek - The third. We all enjoyed it, all good laughs and a good time to spend together.
The story is based on fairy tale characters and you are sure to see Snow White and Cinderella in some good, fun and entertaining fight moves. The ladies in the cast help Shrek in defending the King's crown. anyone will surely enjoy this delightful film -adults and kids alike.

It is a star studded cast of voices :
Mike Myers ... Shrek

Cameron Diaz ... Princess Fiona
Antonio Banderas ... Puss in Boots
John Cleese ... King Harold
Julie Andrews ... Queen Lillian
Rupert Everett ... Prince Charming
Justin Timberlake ... King Arthur (Artie)

I'm Back
I have been gone for a while. Been really busy with a lot of things. With work and family and other mundane stuff. And so...I've neglected this blog for a while.

To start off , I just want to say that I was really surprised with the results of tonight's American Idol. I really thought Melinda and Jordin will battle it out in the finals. But I guess, its a boy and girl competition next week. It seems like Blake has a good following. Probably amongst the younger girls out there. Mind you, he really did well in the last singing battle. Oh well...I'm still putting my vote on Jordin. May she win and give her hometown Arizona, the real pride of giving her a "Jordin Sparks day".

Love Sonnet XVIII

Love Sonnet XVIII

I do not love you as if you were salt rose, or topaz,
or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.

I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.

I love you as the plant
that never blooms but carries in itself
the light of hidden flowers;
thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance,
risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.

I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.

I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
so I love because I know no other way than this:
where I does not exist, nor you,
so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.

Christmas Spirit
How would you define “the Christmas spirit”? Would it be a friendly smile between strangers, the sound of familiar carols, a tree with twinkling lights in a sea of brightly wrapped packages, or just that good feeling you get this time of the year?

None of these elements captures the real meaning of the phrase. They represent feelings that may be a response to the commercialism that distorts the real spirit of Christmas.

J. I. Packer goes to the heart of this matter in his book Knowing God. He writes, “We talk glibly of the Christmas spirit, rarely meaning more by this than sentimental jollity . . . . It ought to mean the reproducing in human lives of the [temperament] of Him who for our sakes became poor, . . . the spirit of those who, like their Master, live their whole lives on the principle of making themselves poor—spending and being spent—to enrich their fellowmen, giving time, thought, care, and concern to do good to others . . . in whatever way there seems need.”

In Philippians 2, Paul described the God of heaven and earth as laying aside His divine glory and becoming our servant by dying on the cross for our sins. Then he urged us to duplicate that same mind of humble service to others. That’s the true Christmas spirit. —Dennis J. De Haan

If we look beyond the manger
To the cross of Calvary,
We will know the reason Christmas
Brings such joy to you and me. —D. De Haan
The spirit of Christmas giving should be seen in all our living.

Clutter
I am on my 3 wks holiday and a week has passed already, during the days that passed by, I was able to clean, organize and arrange my house that I so call a home to live in, but I left my room the only place left undone, the room where I seldom sleep, I guess that is the computer room.

Now one sitting and I will be able to finish my room and it's CLUTTER FREE. Being in a clean and organize place makes your thinking very peaceful.

Most of the time I watch
TLC (The Learning Channel)
and
HGTV (Home and Garden Television) . Being able to watch their shows gives you ideas of how to's and what not's but you get to miss the other shows, hahaha but its alright...

Now a week of my holiday had gone by and now I'll make the most of the remaining days .

Food for Thought
Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don't wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it's at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored.

Empty ????
Here I am trying to think what to post, my mind is empty or maybe lots of things in my mind, all scrambled. I wanted to have a specific topic something really interesting but the chances are ... hmm... slim.. let me... its 1:48 am July 27, 2006 and still awake my mind is flying in air, have you ever been in that state where you want to say something, find a good topic but couldn't pick one? It's really quiet right now and everyone's asleep, really in deep sleep, but i hear a snore. Isn't it at this time like this you think more of good topic but why at this time i cannot, I guess the tiredness of the day made me think of nothing. I guess the best thing to do is join the crowd... SLEEP and have rest for the next day is ahead....
